
At the Annual General Meeting of Federlogistica, held in Rome on Tuesday, January 21st, outgoing ChairmanLuigi Merlo launched the challenge of artificial intelligence as a tool to achieve a significant leap in terms of quality.
Federlogistica’s leadership has now passed to Davide Falteri. “I take on this role at a crucial moment for the entire logistics supply chain,” commented Falteri, emphasizing the importance of logistics in the country’s competitiveness.
According to Carlo Sangalli, President of Confcommercio, “logistics is the main and only key, not a turning point but a breakthrough, for the development of markets and businesses.”
Based on the endorsement from Confcommercio, Federlogistica highlighted the need to accelerate the processes of digitalization and artificial intelligence and pointed out the growth of the logistics sector, which now represents over 10% of Italy’s GDP.
